Alan is going to cry like a baby when this necklace sells. It is currently his personal favourite. Complex & substantial, this collar necklace has been created with many exciting little details and as always, really rare stones. Amethyst and smoked topaz Brillons (c.1960) hug the inside of the collar, resting against light topaz chain enhanced with open-set flawed amethyst ovals (c.1960). Three flawed amethyst kite stones are strategically placed on the collar bringing our attention to the heart centerpiece of the necklace and the extravagant amethyst drop. Swarovski made the heart stones for a short period of time in the 1980s. Both the edge of the collar and the heart surround are created with delightful metal leaves dating to the 1960s. The finishing touch is, of course, the large amethyst dangling teardrop (c.1960). This necklace is a beauty and will never be made again.
